Ghenoa Gela

In residency at the Park St Studio at Alexandria Park Community School. A project of Carriageworks.

Ghenoa Gela is a proud Torres Strait Islander woman from Rockhampton, Central Queensland and a graduate from the National Aboriginal and Islander Skills Development Association – NAISDA. With a background in Torres Strait Islander dance, Ghenoa has built a strong practice as an independent dance artist performing across diverse fields such contemporary, traditional Torres Strait Island , hip-hop, circus, and theatre for young people – working on the stage, television and in community development. Ghenoa has worked extensively facilitating dance workshops in urban, regional and remote communities.
