Room 13 at Athelstane Primary School and Woniora Road High School. Presented by Shopfront
Shopfront Contemporary Arts for under-25s is delivering the Room 13 program at two whole-school, multi-arts studios at Athelstane Primary School in Arncliffe and Woniora Road High School in Hurstville.
Room 13 is a student-led hub within a school dedicated to arts practice across artistic disciplines. A global network, Room 13 programs are strongly collaborative with student-focused leadership and governance used to explore artistic development where students work alongside professional artist-in-residence, teachers and the community.
These Room 13 programs at Athelstane and Woniora Road Schools are led by Howard Matthew, an internationally recognised visual artist who works with performance, film and video. Howard engages other artists to meet the creative interests of the students.
